This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of Athanasso (referred to as "We", "Us", "Our", or "Developer") regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Galazio mobile application (the "Service", or "App").

Types of Data Collected

Galazio is designed to help you discover beaches and check their water quality across Europe. Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following types of information:

• Location Data: The App collects location data to show your position on the map relative to nearby beaches and to calculate distances. This is used solely to enhance your local discovery experience.
• Favorites and Preferences: If you choose to save beaches to your favorites, this data is synchronized to your account (if logged in) or stored locally on your device.
• Account Information: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information. You may also use the App in "Guest Mode," which stores data entirely locally on your device.
• Usage Data: Anonymous usage metrics to help us improve the app.

Permissions Required by the App

To provide its core functionality, Galazio requires the following permissions on your device. You have full control over granting or revoking these permissions:

• Location (Foreground): Used to center the map on your current position and find the closest beaches to you.

Third-Party Services and APIs

We use trusted third-party services and public APIs to power specific features within Galazio. These services may collect or process data as outlined below:

• European Environment Agency (EEA): We query public APIs from the EEA to fetch beach locations, names, and water quality data. No personal data is shared with this service.
• Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database synchronization for your favorite beaches.
• Google AdMob: We use AdMob to serve non-intrusive advertisements in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect certain device identifiers and usage data to provide relevant ads.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions and in-app purchases (e.g. ad removal). RevenueCat handles the purchase validation securely.

Retention of Your Data

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request to delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the App's settings. If you use the App in "Guest Mode", your data resides strictly on your device and is permanently deleted if you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or via an in-app notice.

Children's Privacy

Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards for any systems we operate. Because much of Galazio's data stays on your device, uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes that local information.

Your Choices

• Revoke permissions anytime in your device settings.
• Opt out of personalized ads via your Google account / device ad settings when AdMob is used.
• Delete local App data by clearing storage or uninstalling.
